NXT introduces TMDK, except now they're infinitely less cool sounding TM61

WWE NXT on Facebook

Been a while since the WWE naming convention bug struck. Several debuts in a row now have kept their real names (or the ones they used outside WWE), but the Australian tag team known elsewhere as The Mighty Don't Kneel, or TMDK, weren't so lucky.

As introduced via Facebook Live video (NXT's new favorite toy) by Corey Graves and Tom Phillips, Mikey Nicholls is now Nick Miller, Shane Haste is now Shane Thorne, and TMDK is now TM61.

See, it sort of starts the same as their older, better name, and then ends up sounding like a droid from Star Wars.

The official explanation is it's the first initials of each of their new last names, and the country code for dialing Australia.

At least the fellas are charming as all get out in their debut spot:

Oh well, anything was going to be a let down from TMDK, which was one of the more badass names for a tag team ever. I'm sure I'll get over it.

Right around whenever they wrestle Chad Gable & Jason Jordan or Dash & Dawson. Hopefully later tonight at the NXT tapings at Full Sail Live.
