Seems like a long time ago that the Gift of the Gods (GotG) title was in play. Hotshotted between King Cuerno and Fenix, and used by the Man of 1,000 Lives to become only the third champion in Lucha Underground history - for a brief time, anyway, before Dario Cueto showed up with his brother to reclaim the Temple.
For the last several weeks, business in Boyle Heights has centered around the medallions which fit into the GotG belt. Holding one of the seven earns you a spot in the match to determine who will next carry the strap - and be entitled to the title shot which comes with it.
As you can see in our preview video above, there's still some contention over one of the seven, as Chavo Guerrero stole Cage's medallion while he was battling Famous B's client. But if the f'n Machine is going to stand in front of the belt while Dario calls forth the medallion holders, I don't really see how Chavito makes it to the match - or possibly even out of The Temple - in one piece.
Once that issue is addressed, the seven-way battle for the Gift of the Gods will commence. Who will leave with one of the cooler belts in all of pro wrestling? Sexy Star? Aero Star? The Mack? Texano? Siniestro de la Muerte? Joey Ryan?
Outside that main event, Marty is probably pissed the Moth tribe came up without any Aztec gold. Tonight, he'll face a guy just trying to find out what happened to his brothers in the desert:

And I don't know what the stakes are, but Daga's debut was entertaining, and that Mascarita deserves another shot at FAME (plus, it means we get more Famous B):

Last but not least, while we all want answers about that cigar smoking heavy Lorenzo Lamas reports to, we will learn if off-his-meds Vampiro has made any progress in getting Pentagon out of his Professor X chair...
See you tonight.
