WWE NXT live results (May 11, 2016): Finn Bálor rebounds from title loss

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network.

• Finn Bálor "Should we chose to embrace the Demon inside?" promo from last week shows before the opening video

• Finn Bálor walks to the ring (doesn't do his entrance with the Full Sail faithful), thanks the crowd and talks about Samoa Joe being champion, his war with Joe... and Elias Samson interupts to sing a song he wrote for Finn. The Drifter says  Bálor is nothing without his belt, then gets hit with a Pele kick.  The Irishman throws the guitar at Samson while Tom Philips tells us these two are the main event.

• They show Cathy Kelley's interview with Eric Young from after last week's show

• Andrea D'Marco asks Finn what he was going to say to Joe before he was interupted. He says he'll deliver the message after he deals with the Drifter.

• American Alpha def. Hollis & Skyler via pinfall following Grand Amplitude despite an appearance from The Revival. The champs invite Dash & Dawson to the ring, but the former champs say not now.

• Nakamura is interviewed about Alex Riley's promise to "Rage". He repeats "Rage?", does a Swagsuke gesture and says "shanking with rage" and walks off.

• Shinsuke Nakamura def. Alex Riley via pinfall following Kinshasa

• Austin Aries gets a meeting with General Manager William Regal to discuss his future, and Blake & Murphy barge in demanding a title match. Everybody bickers (including Alexa Bliss, who appears when A-Double mocks Blake & Murphy for not bringing her), so Regal makes a tag match for next week with a partner of Aries choosing. He makes a phone call.

• Alexa Bliss def. Rachel Ellering via pinfall following a Sparkle Splash

• Interview with Bayley where she talks about getting stronger for a rematch with Asuka, and here comes Nia Jax. Jax says she got stronger since she lost to the Hugster, and that the former champ couldn't beat her now. We find out we're getting that match next week.

• Finn Bálor def. Elias Samson via pinfall following 1916

• Grabbing a mic, Finn says he's not taking anything away from Joe, but he wants his rematch. He's obsessed with being NXT champ, now he's possessed like a Demon stalking his prey. The champ arrives, and while they jaw, Regal runs in between them and announces Bálor vs. Joe IV for TakeOver in June. The Irishman dives onto Joe from the ring while he's screaming about Finn not deserving another shot, then grabs the ring and drapes it over him while he's laid out, telling him to enjoy it while it lasts.
