Following WrestleMania 32 this past Sun., April 3, 2016, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where he defeated AJ Styles in a singles match, Chris Jericho called into the Busted Open Radio Show to cut a promo on the hosts and, ostensibly, the fans who were upset that he "buried" Styles in his WrestleMania debut.
It's one hell of a listen:
"So angry that Jericho beat Styles. 'Oh, Jericho buried Styles.' You're damn right I did! I buried him! I'm going to bury everyone I work against! ... I will bury everybody from this moment forward."
Of course, the very next night on Raw he was the one who was hit with a Styles Clash and pinned in the main event to make Styles the new number one contender to the WWE world heavyweight championship, setting up a future match against Roman Reigns.
Still, this is fun meta heel stuff from Jericho, who you can tell is having fun with it.
