The main event of this week's episode of Lucha Underground, episode 13 of season two, featured Matanza defending the Lucha Underground championship against Mil Muertes. Considering the players, there was plenty of intrigue heading in and more than a little skepticism that it would live up to the standards of previous matches.
Did it ever.
Not surprisingly, there was no finish, as they built to a big spot when Muertes hit Matanza with a flatliner through the roof of Dario Cueto's office. That's not a victory for either, but it's not a loss either and leaves unfinished business for both the man eating monster and the monster of 1000 deaths.
