They might not want none, but Smarks do

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - New Japan's Invasion Attack, the April 11 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Tuesday's TNA Impact, Wednesday's Lucha Underground, WWE NXT and ROH TV,  Thursday's SmackDown and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from April 10 - 16, 2016.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Hey, Styles. How you feeling about your decision to leave TNA?

  • Shaking off his WrestleMania loss, AJ (and everyone else in SmarkAMania's main event - including a returning Swiss who gave him a real run for his money) takes the early lead in year five.
  • One tag team's call-up made more waves than any of the others - and one member of that team got significantly more love than his seven-foot partner.
  • He's not a bad guy. But kind of acting like one got him a lot of votes. The new Intercontinental champ is definitely a bad guy, and we dig it almost as much as his wife.
  • Two women who were not strangers to the weekly top ten last week remain there. Starting a beef with Emma draws more than squashing Summer Rae and disappearing,
  • We're glad you're not injured Sam, but we kind of like it when you get beat up.

The S3: 2016-17, Week 1

1. AJ Styles
2. Cesaro
3. Enzo Amore
4. Roman Reigns
5. Kevin Owens
6. Colin Cassady
7. Miz

8. Becky Lynch
9. Chris Jericho
10. (tie) Sasha Banks
10. (tie) Sami Zayn

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

Which, for right now, looks exactly like last week's S3.

The year is young, but things are already happening all over the pro graps landscape. Let us help you keep up with our sections on Raw, Impact, NXT, SmackdownLucha UndergroundNew JapanROH. Then return the favor by voting in the poll and the comments below!
