Geno will be keeping you up on of all the happenings in Boyle Heights here while the show airs. Bill Hanstock will also bring you a recurring reactions post every week after the show. In addition to a way for folks to keep up, this space is for you to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the hottest new concept to hit pro wrestling in ages - during its initial broadcast!

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can't find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don't see your provider listed or you've cut the cord, you can find El Rey on the Sling streaming subscription service here and here. Or you can order the episodes on iTunes here.

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcast, but many Cagesiders don't partake.  If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

ANOTHER NOTE: Do not post links to pirate streams or other unlicensed means of watching the show. We all wish it was easier to get El Rey, and trust them when they tell us they're working on it. In the meantime, keep it legal while you're hanging at cSs.

Geno here.

Let us do this.

Cage, Taya, and Johnny Mundo were meeting with Dario Cueto, who said he wants the trios tournament to be even better than last year. Mundo quickly determined he wanted the three to be an unlikely team. Cage offered instead to fight Mundo. Cueto said he likes his idea better. He attempted to introduce himself to Taya but she refused to shake his hand.

Cage ultimately said it didn't matter who his partners were, he was going to win the tournament.

Argenis vs. Killshot

They gave Argenis an introduction but not an entrance. Matt Striker noticed Killshot was wearing military style gear and Vampiro mentioned he's been more focused and military in his movements since the gear change. The match was all about Killshot beating Argenis down and getting over in the process. It worked for him. He did a big dive at one point and The Temple went nuts for him.

He used a cutter for a near fall but Argenis kicked out and made a comeback. They teased it would pay off but Killshot took control by catching him coming off the ropes and hit a brainbuster followed by a kick to set up a double foot stomp.

He hit his finish right after, a really great piledriver, and that got the three count.

Dragon Azteca Jr. approached Black Lotus and wondered why she is working for Dario Cueto. He wanted to know who killed his mentor and she said it was the Monster. He is more powerful than we can imagine. She said they would get their revenge but not yet.

Dario Cueto met with "one of the hottest competitors the sport of Lucha Libre has ever seen." The camera panned to show Daga.

He showed him the medallions that, when combined, make up the Gift of the Gods championship. Cueto said when he competes, it will be for one of the medallions but his competition will be incredibly tough, against another Mexican sensation: Texano.

Texano vs. Daga

They put over that they've crossed paths before and know each other really well. They had a fine match, going back-and-forth and working stronger than you might expect, but Texano used a sit out powerbomb to get the pinfall victory to claim one of the medallions.

Catrina was talking to Mil Muertes. He said "rise" and the Disciples of Death showed up. She ordered them away. Then she said he'll become Lucha Underground champion again while putting over how great the Monster Matanza is. This enraged Muertes, who screamed and flexed.

Dragon Azteca Jr. & Rey Mysterio & Prince Puma vs. Cage & Johnny Mundo & Taya

This was the main event.

The story here, of course, was the fans getting so heavy behind the babyface team and Cage's inability to work well with the partners he hates. They also built to Mysterio getting a hot tag and running wild. That included a spot where Taya's face ended up colliding with Mundo's peen.

That got over big.

Then, this happened:

Oh, yes.

The bad guys recovered for a near fall while Vampiro talked about how incredible the match had been. That's when Cage got in and ran wild on everyone in the ring. He argued with Mundo, though, and that gave Prince Puma an opening to put Mundo on his shoulders so Azteca could hit a hurricanrana and Puma could come down with a splash just after.

Somehow that only got a two count.

And "holy shit" chants.

As Striker was talking about Azteca advancing to the level of Mysterio and Puma in one night, Taya was beating the brakes off him. Everyone was hitting the ring and hitting everyone else. It was chaos. At one point, Cage caught both Azteca and Puma and threw them both.

He's not a man, he's a machine, y'all.

Puma got out of Weapon X and it set up for Mundo to come in and Puma to move so he hit Cage, which caused him to take Mundo out. Mysterio got back in and ah hell I can't keep up. MEN AND A WOMAN FLYING EVERYWHERE. Puma ended up taking out Mundo for the pin.

Dario Cueto went and talked to Monster Matanza, who was locked in a cage. He explained he put him there because he's so valuable and that's what you do with your valuable possessions. Next week he'll face Mil Muertes and Dario said "make me proud. Bring death to the dead."
