Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of Lucha Underground in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM Eastern time slot on El Rey Network.

Geno will be keeping you up on of all the happenings in Boyle Heights here while the show airs. Bill Hanstock will also bring you a recurring reactions post every week after the show. In addition to a way for folks to keep up, this space is for you to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the hottest new concept to hit pro wrestling in ages - during its initial broadcast!

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can't find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don't see your provider listed or you've cut the cord, you can find El Rey on the Sling streaming subscription service here and fubo.tv here. Or you can order the episodes on iTunes here.

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcast, but many Cagesiders don't partake.  If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

ANOTHER NOTE: Do not post links to pirate streams or other unlicensed means of watching the show. We all wish it was easier to get El Rey, and trust them when they tell us they're working on it. In the meantime, keep it legal while you're hanging at cSs.

LU S2E7 LIVE BLOG

Geno here.

Let us do this.

The Mack hit up Sexy Star to say she should be in his corner during his match with Marty The Moth later. She originally turned him down before he appealed to her want to "squash that bug" and she seemed to agree with a fist bump.

The Mack vs. Marty the Moth

They got after it right away, with Mack beating the brakes off Marty before he just started throwing his own head into the turnbuckle. He took control not long after and went about working some incredibly weak offense. Mack's comeback came after Moth missed a splash. When he went up to the top rope himself, the lights went out and someone came out and distracted both Sexy Star and Mack. Marty capitalized and got the pin just after.

Moth got on the mic and told us to "bow down to my sister, Mariposa." Sexy Star was acting traumatized. Mariposa slapped her on the way out.

They ran a promo for Fenix, who talked about no one believing he would last in Lucha Underground but proving them wrong by defying death and becoming champion. Still, some don't believe in him but he'll prove them wrong again.

He's the Gift of the Gods champion but he's here to become the Lucha Underground champion.

Jack Evans was confronted by Drago backstage. He demanded Evans "slay me now" if he's the actual "dragon slayer" and that's when PJ Black showed up with nunchucks and started whooping Drago's ass. Suddenly everyone had their own and while Dragon briefly got the upper hand, Black and Evans overwhelmed him.

That's when Aerostar showed up and chased off PJ and Jack before helping Drago to his feet.

Cage vs. Johnny Mundo Taya

After introductions were made, Taya came out instead of Mundo. She said that because Cage was already defeated by Johnny, it's her turn. "I am the perfect woman. I know you're not a man but let's see if you've got the balls to face me."

"Let's not let the gender roles fool you," Matt Striker started. "This lady was trained by Lance Storm!"

They rang the bell once she got in. Immediately, she slapped Cage, who responded by clotheslining her. Then he started using her as a weight and lifting her before slamming her to the mat. Just an embarrassing mismatch in nearly every way.

Then again, she kicked out of the first pinfall attempt.

Then she used a low blow to gain the advantage and started getting some actual offense in. Striker put her over as a threat because of Storm and Vampiro shut down any talk that her success was because of anyone other than herself. At this point, she went under the ring for a lead pipe but Cage grabbed her and started throwing her into things.

Back in the ring, he viciously powerbombed her, once on the mat and once into the turnbuckles. This was No DQ, so he grabbed a table and set it up on the outside. Then he picked her up and suplexed her up over the ropes and through the table.

That earned a "holy shit" chant.

Once he got her back in the ring, Mundo finally showed up and attacked from behind. He laid Cage out, put Taya on top of him, and then piled on hoping to score the pin. Cage kicked out and Mundo was SHOCKED. He was also driven to get under the ring and pull out a cinderblock and some beer bottles. He spit gum in Cage's face, then tried to pick him up but got countered into an Alabama Slam. Cage set up to curb stomp Mundo, but he Taya showed up to jump his back. Mundo then broke a beer bottle over his head, then straight in his face, and Cage no sold both.

That's when Mundo threw Taya straight into his arms, he hit his finish, and that got the pin.

Cage def. Taya

Ivelisse came out of Catrina's office to tell her fellas that she got their match for next week against Disciples of Death for the trios titles but there is a stipulation: Either they win or hit the road. They all argued about this until Ivelisse told them to "man up" and "we've only got one option. Let's do it."

"Well, she's your girlfriend," Angelico said.

"Ex-girlfriend," Son of Havoc clarified.

Prince Puma vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Mil Muertes

Main event time.

The kind of match you need to watch to get any real grasp on. Fans were hot as hell for every spot, and they gave them what felt like a million spots that all made sense in the flow of the match and held up in the story. Puma was routinely defying death while Muertes' presence alone made it feel like a mega-match. That's without even mentioning Pentagon, who is always great.

Late, Puma had the match won when he hit this:

But Muertes, who had been outside the ring selling for a while, got back in just in time to break up the pinfall attempt on Pentagon. Puma kicked out when Muertes tried to put him away, and then Pentagon and Puma teamed together to put Mil away before trying each other. Still no.

Pentagon hit a package piledriver and then set up to break Puma's arm. Muertes speared him before he got the chance. Then he speared Puma.

He followed that up with a Flatliner on both and then covered the two at the same time to retain the Lucha Underground championship.

Muertes def. Puma, Pentagon

Catrina then got in the ring and gave both Puma and Pentagon Jr the Lick of Death.

Fenix appeared in the crowd at that moment to say "the celebration won't last long because next week I am turning in my Gift of the Gods championship." The match was set for next week.

End.
