Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Sami Callihan -- who was known as Solomon Crowe during his time in NXT -- has signed a deal to appear on Lucha Underground for their forthcoming Season 3.
Multiple sources say Sami began negotiations to join the roster not long after appearing in a dark match during a season 2 taping, and he's expected to debut at the Temple this weekend.
...
No word on what kind of character he'll be playing in Lucha Underground at this point.
If the report is accurate, this means Sami will likely be popping up in the second month of Lucha Underground Season 3, which is still a good ways off.
Callihan has been tearing up the indies since asking for his release from NXT. After being granted his release in November, Callihan has been wrestling in EVOLVE, CZW, PWG and a score of other promotions. He had been with WWE since May of 2013.
