It often felt like at least a third of the Mar. 21 edition of Raw was dedicated to selling us on the Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 32.
Numerous Shane training videos. Lots of replays of what got us to this point in the story. A segment devoted to Superstars putting over the Dead Man's legacy and picking their winners in the bout which will kayfabe determine the future of Monday nights.
The show seems to hinge on this match, and the powers-that-be are bound and determined to make sure we care about it. Management of the flagship brand on the line and family strife in the form of Vince disowning Shane weren't deemed to be enough however.
Tonight, Mr. McMahon strutted to the ring in Philadelphia to add one more stipulation - and finally give us a reason for Taker's involvement. Calling the Phenom his "bitch", Vince announced that if Shane wins, Apr. 3 in Arlington, Texas will not only be the Legend's second WrestleMania loss, it will be his last time competing at the event.
He didn't explicitly call it a retirement, however, so maybe Undertaker can keep wrestling the rest of the year?
VKM also referred to Shane as "the most formidable opponent Undertaker's ever faced at WrestleMania", which is... maybe this whole thing is a bad/weird dream?
Does putting Taker's Showcase of the Immortals career on the line get you more excited for this Hell in a Cell?
