Bayley vs. Asuka NXT Women's Championship Match official for TakeOver: Dallas

Over the past few months, many women in NXT have been jockeying for a shot at Bayley's NXT Women's Championship. Following Wednesday's episode of NXT, we finally have an official No. 1 contender: Asuka.

Asuka and Bayley were in tag team action against Eva Marie and Nia Jax on Wednesday night. Following a decisive victory for Asuka and Bayley, William Regal appeared at the top of the ramp.

He congratulated both women and said Bayley has done a spectacular job as the standard-bearer for the NXT women's division since becoming champion. He also said Asuka has helped elevate what was already the premiere division in wrestling, so he is naming Asuka the No. 1 contender to Bayley's title. The championship match will go down on April 1 at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, just two days before WrestleMania.

This will be Asuka's first title match since arriving in WWE. She's also undefeated in her NXT career.
