Noche de la muerte (a Lucha Underground preview)

Haven't seen any exclusive clips for Mar. 16's new espisode on El Rey Network from the folks out in Boyle Heights yet this morning, so roll with the main event of the second season's seventh episode above, featuring Mil Muertes retaining his Lucha Underground championship.

No rest for the man of a 1,000 deaths. Tonight, he and his recently healed right arm are right back in the ring with the title on the line, facing his eternal nemesis Fenix. The man of 1,000 lives has been angling for this rematch for quite some time, so when he defeated King Cuerno to regain the Gift of the Gods championship, he immediately flipped that bad boy for his first second season match against Mil.

Catrina's singles champion shouldn't count on any back-up from her Trios champs (not that he needs it), because the Disciples of Death will have their hands full defending their belts against the former champs. And as if that wasn't enough motivation for Team Dysfunction, Ivelisse also agreed to put their futures in the Temple on the line. If she, Son of Havoc & Angelico lose tonight, it's back on the open road for all three.

Plus, we'll also get a bullrope match as Texano and Mexico's issues with Chavo Guerrero heat up. Not that too many people care about that AAA-mandated program, but seeing as how one of Chavito's posse is an undercover cop who works with Joey Ryan, some pretty cool shit might happen there too.

And if you're like me (and my buddy kmtierney, whose post on LU's ratings is worth your time, whether you agree or disagree with his take), you really miss El Jefe. Hopefully his plan moves closer to fruition tonight, so he can come take back what's his.

In the meantime, I somehow missed this:

See you tonight.

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can't find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don't see your provider listed or you've cut the cord, you can find El Rey on the streaming subscription services Sling (here) and fubo.tv (here). Or you can order the episodes on iTunes here.

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcast, but many Cagesiders don't partake.  If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

ANOTHER NOTE: Do not post links to pirate streams or other unlicensed means of watching the show. We all wish it was easier to get El Rey, and trust them when they tell us they're working on it. In the meantime, keep it legal while you're hanging at cSs.
