Tonight's episode of SmackDown was filmed on Tuesday night in Milwaukee. We've got a spoiler report for you here. If you just want to get ready for the show without knowing who wins and loses, read on!
The Headliner
After somewhat incidently doing the Authority's bidding by softening Dean Ambrose up for Triple H on Raw, Bray Wyatt jumps into action with his whole Family on tonight's show. Once again, they'll be opposite the Lunatic Fringe, who's just days away from a shot at Haitch's WWE title.
Siding with Ambrose is a bit of a throwback to the Fall of 2014 in terms of anti-Authority forces. A seemingly harmless Tweet about that year's Survivor Series got Dolph Ziggler in hot water with Stephanie McMahon, who forced him to battle all of League of Nations in a handicap match (which might have been why Sheamus & the lads weren't available for their usual main event numbers game role) - so he's been assigned along with the Usos to this pre-Roadblock tag match.
What about Jimmy & Jey's ongoing beef with the Dudleyz? How committed is Bray to taking out Ambrose, when he seemed to have eyes for Hunter's belt on Monday night - and shouldn't he be worried about Dean's Mania opponent, Brock Lesnar, who he'll face on Saturday? Will the Game show his face tonight to seek retribution for being planted on his face to close Raw?
The Title Scene
If WWE World Heavyweight champion Triple H shows up, it will likely be to observe that four-on-four. But even if he's not in Wisconsin, perhaps he'll find time to address Dean's attack, their match on Saturday, or even the return of the man he no doubt believes will be coming for his belt in Dallas, Roman Reigns.
Saturday's WWE Network special will also see tag titleists New Day - fresh off a successful defense against Chris Jericho & AJ Styles, facing Sheamus & King Barrett of League of Nations. What positive outlook with Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods & Big E have on their second championship match in a week?
Intercontinental king Kevin Owens will not be in Toronto on Mar. 12, but he will be on SmackDown, joining Sami Zayn on Miz TV to discuss the return of his long-time nemesis, and probably how much he hates him. They may even reveal something about #KOMania while they're at it.
Kalisto has a few problems right now, one of which is that Ryback is giving him advice to ditch his tag partner. The United States champ & Sin Cara will face LoN on SmackDown, but the Lucha Dragon better watch his back for the increasingly sadistic Big Guy.
She's got two opponents for Mania, but Divas titleholder Charlotte didn't look phased by it. Sure, Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch got another tag win, but then the Nature Girl left them both laying. We'll see who's talking about that development tonight.
Other stuff to keep an eye on:
- After losing their tag title shot, Chris Jericho snapped on AJ - ending Y2AJ with actions that looked to be more pre-meditated than spur of the moment. The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla will explain his turn on SmackDown.
- Lana hates Brie Bella, and I don't think it's because she's worried she'll get caught on a scooter.
- Goldust is lactose intolerant, and Curtis Axel has a weird karate chop.
- There's a bunch of stuff going on with the McMahons and the Undertaker, but none of them will be here tonight, and you'll probably get several recaps of what happened with them on Raw anyway.
(Note: I know some folks have come looking for a more definitive match listing - that will be posted behind spoiler text in the comments. If WWE.com releases more information on anything that's officially going to take place on tonight's show, that'll be updated here)
