Tonight’s show will be another mix of live event footage and matches from Full Sail Live (spoilers from which are here). Here's what to expect.

Excited to see a match you already know the outcome of, between two guys you’ve seen fight in the main event of the last two TakeOver specials?
This is the show for you!
In all seriousness, I don’t doubt it when Tom Phillips tells us the NXT championship match between Samoa Joa and Shinsuke Nakamura “should be a hard-hitting affair”, because their first two bouts at Brooklyn and Toronto were just that. And it should be special to see Nakamura return to his native country, where he was a mega-star for New Japan, and become the second two-time singles champ in brand history.
But I don’t think it’s weird that I’m not super-excited for it. Here’s hoping they change my mind, and start planting some seeds for what’s to come in the title scene between Osaka and San Antonio.
The Title Scene
Women’s titleholder Asuka keeps telling us there’s no competition for her in NXT and, well, I believe her. She fought Nia Jax in Japan, but there’s no word on if we’re gonna see that match tonight, or ever.
What we will see in this ‘sode, per WWE.com, is the new tag champs, #DIY. And if their return to Full Sail is anything like the last few returns to Florida when a babyface won the belt on the road, it should be a heck of scene. Will Dash & Dawson crash it? The Revival should have one of those rematch clauses in their pocket...
Other stuff to keep an eye on:
- Paul Ellering hasn’t fully revealed the Authors of Pain third chapter, but you have to imagine there are plans for the Dusty Classic winners.
- SAnitY have outnumbered No Way Jose and Rich Swann separately on a few occassions... maybe it’s time the crowd-pleasing tag team came at Eric Young, Nikki Cross & company together?
- After coming up short again last week, and in his home country of Canada no less, against Samoa Joe, will Tye Dillinger follow-up on saying he “doesn’t belong” in NXT? And what, exactly, does that mean?
NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts (including here), but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.
See you tonight for NXT, Cagesiders!
