The Bullet Club, a faction which started in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and spread to Ring of Honor (ROH) and other international independent promotions where its members wrestle (and even kind-of, sort-of to WWE, where original founding members Finn Balor, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows and Finn’s replacement, AJ Styles, now work), is undergoing another expansion.
Current leader, and #1 contender for the IWGP Heavyweight championship, Kenny Omega, started teasing it last week, before the promotion revealed the new member would be revealed on Friday, Dec. 9’s World Tag League show.
The deal is done. #BulletClub will announce a new member. A monster that devours all competition.Your nightmare will soon begin. #njpw

Yesterday, PWInsider reported on who the “monster” new member will be (last chance to bail out if you don’t want to know!)...
Cody Rhodes.
The grandson of a plumber turned heel at Ring of Honor’s Dec. 2 Final Battle pay-per-view (PPV) when he not only cheated to defeat Jay Lethal, but also attacked announcer Steve Corino. Corino made some cryptic comments about Rhodes intentions which are now being interpreted as being part of an angle with NJPW.
ROH hosts all the members of Bullet Club from time-to-time via their partnership with New Japan, and has a subset of the group which is almost always present to feature in their angles with Adam Cole & the Young Bucks. Cody is booked for several more appearances with the promotion, and could join “Bullet Club West”.
What do you think? A great refresh for Rhodes’ character? More bloat for an already past-its-prime gimmick?
