The Wyatt Family is riding a wave of momentum which began when Randy Orton decided to follow Bray Wyatt, and continued to Survivor Series, where the Eater of Worlds and the Viper won the day for Team SmackDown. They rode it all the way to becoming the last minute #1 contenders for TLC.
Heath Slater & Rhyno, the tag champs Bray & Randy were facing tonight (Dec. 4) in Dallas, have been living the dream. Slater was an unlikely underdog success story long before James Ellsworth turned a similar act into a (similar) contract. The Man-Beast’s used his run with the tag straps avoided the fate suffered by similar veterans signed at the brand split.
Something had to give.
It wasn’t the Wyatts.
The underdogs gave their signature fighting best, but fell in a brief opening match. Wyatt distracted Rhyno with his signature j-horror pose, allowing Orton to hit an RKO.

It’s Randy’s first tag title since his Rated-RKO days with Edge, and Bray’s first main roster gold (or silver).
