Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Interest in single brand pay-per-view (PPV) shows like TLC and Roadblock is low, based on internet searches and social media scores, and WWE may already be looking at returning to using both rosters on all shows in 2017.
- There’s talk of the Slammys being part of WrestleMania week, possibly as a Network special.
- Michael Cole name-dropping Hulk Hogan during the Women’s title match at Roadblock was seen by some as the last test balloon for his return to WWE.
- Lucha Underground may be producing more episodes (possibly as many as 60) for season four when it films next year.
- New Japan launched an English-language website, the latest evidence they want to be more of direct competitor to WWE.
