Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • WWE may be planning to have Roman Reigns defeat Kevin Owens at Roadblock so he can use the Universal and United States titles to proclaim himself a “double champ” like Conor McGregor was for a short-time before UFC took his featherweight strap.
  • There’s a report flying around that WWE is planning to “raid” Ring of Honor (ROH) in early 2017. The Young Bucks are said to be the top target.
  • Pro Wrestling Sheet says ROH recently offered the Bucks a bigger, multi-year deal to replace the one which expires on Dec. 31st, but Matt & Nick Jackson are deciding whether they’ll sign it (and probably teasing that decision out on Twitter for a month like last year).
  • Former WWE C.E.O. Linda McMahon did not get the Commerce Secretary gig from President-elect Donald Trump which had been rumored, but after a meeting with the WWE Hall of Famer in New York yesterday, she’s considered the front-runner to head the Small Business Administration in his cabinet.
  • Alberto El Patron missed a What Culture Pro Wrestling show in the United Kingdom yesterday. Unlike his notorious missed Mexico event in October, this time he and fiance Paige Instagrammed a video explaining they were canceling due to airline troubles.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
