Relleno (a Lucha Underground preview)

After one of the season’s milestone moments with last week’s Aztec Warfare - which saw old champ Matanza finally defeated (and the man who eliminated him, the legendary Rey Mysterio, paying for it with a vicious beating from the monster) and new champ Sexy Star crowned - you might think Lucha Underground would take a deep breath and relax. Or at least slowly rearrange the pieces on Dario Cueto’s board.

But no, that’s not the Boyle Heights way.

Instead, as you can see in the above teaser clip, it looks like Dario has approved Johnny Mundo’s cashing in of his Gift of the Gods championship for a shot at his old rival, and new Lucha Underground titleholder, Sexy Star. Expect violence, seeing as Cueto a big fan of either of these two.

If you like intergender conflict, this should be a good week, since that title match isn’t the only place you’re likely to get it. Black Lotus and her clan took out Pentagon last week, and she makes her official return to the Temple this week. Plus, Catrina confronts Ivelisse’s meddling boyfriend, Jeremiah Crane.

Plus, a couple of simmering angles add some heat as the Rabbit Tribe is set to arrive in Boyle Heights, and former brothers in arms Killshot & Dante Fox go one-on-one in the ring.
