It’s the last show from Oct. 13’s taping at Full Sail (spoilers from which are here) - along with whatever else they decide to throw in - for NXT’s ‘go home’ show leading into Saturday’s TakeOver: Toronto. Here's what to expect.

The Headliner(s)

It’s a match fans have been demanding. Okay, maybe it’s just me, but still!

Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas executed a long overdue heel turn after he and Cedric Alexander were defeated by The Revival in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Since then, the former CMLL star has spoken a couple of times about his reason for going rudo - he gave NXT, the roster and fans, respect, and that respect was not returned, so now he’s only doing things for himself.

What he didn’t talk a lot about was Cedric. And we didn’t hear from Alexander until a couple weeks ago, when he thanked ACA for reminding him not to take things for granted. Then last week, NXT announced this match.

Maybe it’s because I think Cedric should be one of the next big NXT and eventually main roster WWE stars, but I’m hyped for this. It’ll be the showcase of an episode which otherwise will probably be filler for TakeOver, but at least it’s happening.

The Title Scene

Don’t expect much more than video recaps and backstage interviews on these, but here goes:

NXT champion Shinsuke Nakamura continues to have no time for #1 contender Samoa Joe’s bulls***. Let General Manager William Regal play Joe’s games, Nak is gonna keep taking out whoever he can get his hands on until he can get those hands (and feet and knees) on his rival in Toronto.

Not sure Mickie James will even appear in a NXT ring before she faces Women’s champ Asuka at TakeOver, and I’m not sure it matters.

Both of those matches will be hoping to keep up with the latest battle between Tag titleholders The Revival and #DIY. Dash & Dawson were already on Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa’s radar before they helped cost them a shot in Saturday’s Dusty Finals. Now, animosity is running so high, Regal made their next showdown a two-out-of-three falls affair.

Other stuff to keep an eye on:

- Tye Dillinger & Bobby Roode got backstage interviews hyping their fight last week, so expect NXT to focus on other things this week.

- Like running the video released last Wednesday night revealing that Paul Ellering will be suspended above the cage in a shark tank during the Authors of Pain match with TM-61 to determine the second winners of the Dusty Cup.

- There’s also the matter of “The Return”. Hype videos having been running for a couple weeks, but haven’t told us anything other than that it will happen at Full Sail. Smarter Cagesiders than I (aka, most of them) seem to think this could be a certain singer/songwriter who drifted back onto house shows a little while back... we shall see.

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts (including here), but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

See you tonight for NXT, Cagesiders!
