AAA didn’t pull any punches in their statement about Alberto El Patron (fka Del Rio) no-showing their Heroes Inmortales X event in Monterrey last night (Oct. 2) - likely because they hadn’t heard from the second-generation luchador after confirming his appearance yesterday morning.
El Patron shared his explanation for missing the show with the world after providing documentation to AAA. And it certainly is a valid excuse.
Per his Instagram, Alberto was grabbing a bite to eat before getting on his plane to the show when he was the victim of a knife attack:
He also shared a photo of lacerations on his head and arm from the attack:
Scary stuff, and oddly the second stabbing of a pro wrestling figure in the last week. Be careful out there, superstars.
El Patron is scheduled to appear in the United Kingdom for WCPW on Thursday, Oct. 6.
