What happened?

- Battle Royal to determine who will face Asuka for the Women’s title is won by Ember Moon
- Oney Lorcan def. Elias Samson
- Lince Dorado def. Brennan Williams
- No Way Jose & Rich Swann def. Riddick Moss & Tino Sabatelli
- Tye Dillinger def. Austin Aries
- Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa promo; they end up taking out Patrick Clark when he shows up for a Glorious Bomb instead of Bobby Roode
- SAnitY (Alexander Wolfe & Sawyer Fulton w/ Nikki Cross & Eric Young) def. Tucker Knight & Otis Dozovic
- Asuke def. Ember Moon to retain the NXT Women’s championship

What caught our eye?

The battle royal participants were (in order of elimination, first - last): Macey Estrella, Danielle Kamela, Bianca Blair, Aliyah, Daria Berenato, Liv Morgan, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce.

Story of the match was Kay & Royce working together. Once they tossed Liv to focus on Ember, Moon was able to eliminate Kay, but she was still working to help her friend win. Morgan returned to take Billie out and let Ember win fair-and-square.

This was the public debut of former NFLer and Booker T trainee Brennan Williams, who is A LOT bigger than Dorado. The match got mixed reviews.

Aries, making a rare Florida appearance, and Dillinger got high marks for their match.

This looks like entirely too much fun. If they’re gonna run with the gimmick for Clark, having him get his ass kicked by fan favorites is the way to do it.

First time for EY on a house show/live event:

The main event was well-received, although the crowd had trouble deciding who to root for in the face vs. face showdown.

Outside of the ring, there was a lot of talk about who WASN’T there, as both Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura were promoted as being there (including in Tweets still up on the NXT Twitter account pushing last minute ticket sales). Card subject to change and all that, but... I see the complaint here.

But hey, it was a showcase for new announcer/interviewer Kayla Braxton.
