NXT live event results from Largo (Oct. 1): Hideo Itami takes a scary-looking bump

Where?

Minnreg Hall in Largo, Florida.

What happened?

- Oney Lorcan def. Patrick Clark
- Authors of Pain def. Kenneth Crawford & Angelo Dawkins
- Nikki Cross def. Liv Morgan
- SaniTY (Alexander Wolfe & Sawyer Fulton) w/ Nikki Cross def. Heavy Machinery (Niko Bogojevic & Tucker Knight)
- Tye Dillinger def. Buddy Murphy
- Ember Moon def. Aliyah
- heel promo from Elias Samson about returning after his broken leg
- Shinsuke Nakamura & Hideo Itami def. Tino Sabatelli & Riddick Moss

What caught our eye?

The voice of EVOLVE had a nice night out just enjoying wrestling with the fam:

The Largo card also gives us a peek at a potential for how NXT plans to use the faction she’s a part of as a means to put Nikki’s solo career on the fast track. She not only won her singles match, but then played a role in Wolfe & Fulton’s tag bout - which included a callback to her match with Morgan, as Liv stopped Cross from diving onto the defeated hosses after SaniTY’s win.

And, hey, Lenny approves!

I joked about Swagsuke working this weekend being contradictory to the on-screen story, but the man is keeping kayfabe (hopefully, and not working matches despite needing to keep his neck stabilized) while waiting for his music to hit:

Itami spiked by Moss on a powerslam spot - Nakamura had to reach and tag himself in for the finish in front of a silent crowd.

Hideo dismissed the doctors and indicated he was okay afterwards.

What's next?

After a rare Monday show in Palm Springs, some of the roster hits the road for Virginia and Maryland starting Thursday; the rest spend next Friday & Saturday in the Sunshine State.
