LU S3E7 LIVE BLOG

Alright, folks, let's Lucha!

Puma is backstage getting ready for his match later. Vampiro comes by to wish him good luck. Puma tells Vampiro that he wants nothing to do with Vampiro. He wants no help at all from Vampiro no matter what. Vamp makes a prediction: Mil Muertes will die by Puma's hands.

It's time for Dario's Dial of Doom to find a new #1 contender.

This time it's Killshot.

Killshot vs. Matanza (c) for the Lucha Underground title

The match starts with Killshot straight up getting his ass kicked. Killshot had maybe 5 minutes of offense early by using a wrist hold, but this is all the champ.

The champ tries for a Tombstone from the second rope, but Killshot fights out, kicks Matanza which ties him up, and hit s a big superkick. But As he's going for something else, the champ responses with a big uppercut, the Wrath of the Gods, and the 1-2-3.

Matanza def. Killshot to retain his LU title

After the match, a dude (AR Fox) comes out wearing dog tags and camo pants. He gets into the ring and Killshot is shocked to see him. He gives the man a hug but the guy pushes him off and kicks him in the face. Then he starts wailing on Killshot.

After the beatdown, this newcomer says "You left me for dead."

They play a teaser with "They're coming." As long as "they" aren't Jeff Jarrett and Abyss.

The Super Friends (Drago, Fenix, & Aerostar) are in the ring waiting for their opponents.

Prior to the match, Dario Cueto announces that Azteca Warfare will return in a month. He also says that to give his brother a challenge, he'll be defending his title in Aztec Warfare and will be entering him at #1! And he said that the winner of a three way between the Trios champs will get to enter at #20! And the two losers are out!

Drago vs. Fenix vs. Aerostar

Winner gets the #20 spot while the other two are out of Aztec Warfare

Fenix chills on the apron as theo ther two fight. But eventually he comes in and he and Drago go at it.

This match is very even, with no one guy really having control for much time at all. It's a lot of high flying back and forth action.

It's Fenix who seems to be the one who can keep advantage, despite bleeding out of his mouth. But that isn't long as Drago pulls him out of the ring and then Aerostar suicide dives on top of him! And then Drago dives onto both of them!

Back in the ring, these three are once again trading moves and breaking up attempted pinfalls. In the end, Fenix receives a reverse 'rana the lands him outside of the ring. With Aerostar and Drago alone to fight it out, Drago hits a blockbuster DDT to win the match.

In the bathroom, Drago is looking in the mirror. Meanwhile, Kobra Moon crawls to him and slighters up behind him. She says that she expects him to bring the title back to their tribe. Drago says he left the tribe a thousand years ago and he's never going to return.

Yes, he took s a thousand years old.

Dario is in his office when Johnny Mundo enters. He probably wants another title shot. Yup, that's what he wants. He says he has an idea. He reveals the case of the money he won on the first episode of Lucha Underground. And he is willing to give it up for a shot at Sexy Star. Dario grants him his match for next week.

Prince Puma vs. Mil Muertes (w/ Catrina)

It's time!

Mil has control early, but Puma is able to use a springboard clothesline to take control. He then performs a series of dives onto Muertes on the floor. However, a spear from the bigger man on the floor leaves Puma laying.

Mil grabs a chair and takes it to the face of Puma. They fight up the rafters in the crowd, with Mil just pummeling Puma. However, after he walks back down to Catrina, Prince Puma hits a cross body block from the crowd! Both men are down!

Puma gets Mil back in the ring... and then springboard double knees. Standing moonsault! Only gets a 2 count!

Mil charges Puma in the corner but Puma gets a leg up, knocking the big man down. he goes for the 630 but Mil rolls out of the way. After Puma lands some strikes, a big body slam puts him down. But onl briefly as he delivers a knee to the face. He sets up a spin kick but Muertes nails an old fashion punch to the face to lay Puma out. He then nails a chokeslam for a nearfall.

Mil sets up the Flatliner but Puma uses a ton of elbows to fight out. Superkick! But Mil tosses Prince into the corner and follows up with 10 standing clotheslines.

Once again, Puma avoids a charging Mil. A kick to the head of Mil puts him down... 630!!!

1-2-3!

Rey Mysterio is talking to Chavo Guerrero Sr! He asks if he does what he needs to do to Rey, where does that leave him with the Guerreros. Chavo Sr asks him if that's the only way. Rey says the Temple isn't big enough for the both of them.
