TNA Impact Ratings (Oct. 13, 2016): Viewership continues to drop

Impact Wrestling YouTube

The viewer totals and ratings figures are in for last night (Oct. 13, 2016) and TNA Impact’s viewership trends continue to head in the wrong direction. Numbers dropped below the 300K mark to 284K viewers last night. Despite losing 20K total viewers, the ratings number actually ticked up from 0.06 to 0.07, meaning there was more of the 18-49 year old range watching, which is what factors into the ratings number.

Impact was against some stiffer competition last night. The Washington Nationals and LA Dodgers played a do-or-die game 5 and Thursday Night Football pulled in more viewers than last week with the Denver Broncos facing the San Diego Chargers.

TNA advertised three title matches for last night (the heavyweight title was not one) and this was the first episode after Eddie Edwards’ sudden TNA championship win. Those things were not enough to pull in the viewers. Next week Cody Rhodes will face Eddie Edwards for the TNA title so maybe that will get some more eyes on the product.

While the company has bigger things on their plate, with lawsuits and issues with taxes, it will be concerning if this trend continues.

Here are the numbers from the past month:

  • This week: 284K
  • October 6: 305K
  • September 29: 365K
  • September 22: 377K
  • September 15: 366K
