Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The deal for Goldberg to return and wrestle Brock Lesnar was finalized "just over one week ago," according to the Observer.
  • The current plan is for Goldberg to do just one match, at Survivor Series, but that could change if it does really well and fans respond well to him.
  • Reporters from various mainstream media outlets have apparently been reaching out to folks in the wrestling world trying to dig up dirt on Donald Trump from his time with WWE, specifically the WrestleMania 23 "Battle of the Billionaires" match/angle with Vince McMahon.
  • WWE is looking into making pricing changes to the Network with the idea of possibly rolling it out before WrestleMania 33 but it's also possible their research won't support the idea.
  • Lucha Underground is doing to run three house shows at the end of this month and early next month and if they do well, they're going to do a tour after the end of season four, according to the Observer.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
