WWE have been updating their list of teams for the Dusty Classic (no word on if anyone’s threatened to sit on Big Cass’ lap), so let’s update ours, shall we? But first, a reminder of the six teams previously announced.
- Andrade “Cien” Almas & Cedric Alexander
- The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson)
- DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)
- Perfectly Glorious (Bobby Roode & Tye Dillinger)
- Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli
- Hideo Itami & Kota Ibushi
Joining them are...
The Bollywood Boyz (Gurv & Harv Sihra): You saw them in the Cruiserweight Classic, and now they’re looking to ply their trade in the realm they’re most experienced, the tag team scene. Still the current reigning and possibly even defending GFW tag champions, the Sihra brothers are looking to make a splash.
TM-61 (Nick Miller & Shane Thorne): The mighty may not kneel, but they are looking to turn around a rough draw in their first couple months in NXT. Of teams confirmed for the Dusty, they’ve lost to the Revival, DIY, and the Authors of Pain, but a run to the trophy could erase all of that.
Heavy Machinery (Niko Bogojevic & Tucker Knight): A tag team on the house show circuit for a few months now, Heavy Machinery have largely come up empty so far, but two bulldozers of men with amateur wrestling backgrounds as strong as theirs cannot be counted out. Well, okay, they could be counted out and lose a match that way, but I’m saying don’t write them off just because you’ve seen Tucker wearing those polka dot trunks on NXT TV.
The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar): I still think it was a mistake to not name these two Breaker and Shark, but “Precious” Paul Ellering always has a plan. The second stage, he told us, was a plethora of pain, and leaving four tag teams broken and mangled in the Authors’ wake as they take the tournament would certainly fit that description.
There you have it, folks.
Ten down, six to go.
Who else do you want in this thing, Cagesiders?
