Lucha Underground is just one episode into its second season -- a season, by the way, that was in doubt for some time thanks to financial issues -- and a new report indicates a third season has been given the green light.
Tapings are being held today and Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting talent were told that season three is happening, although there was no word on when filming would begin. This comes after rumors months ago that LU would tape season three at the same time as season two.
Court Bauer is saying filming will take place in the summer.
In news that could be just as exciting, Pro Wrestling Sheet also reported that talent were told the show would be making its way to iTunes in the coming months. It's not a DVD/Blu-Ray release, but it's added distribution and yet another way to watch arguably the best pro wrestling show on television today.
