WWE Royal Rumble 2016 results: Brock Lesnar on a collision course with The Wyatt Family

WWE on Twitter

While we were getting our hopes up for Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 32, WWE clearly had other ideas.

Kevin Owens has a few options: call-up Sami Zayn, or build off his interactions with new acquisition AJ Styles.

The Beast Incarnate has one clear rival, but as The Wyatt Family has many heads, it's not clear who exactly he'll battle in sanctioned matches. But after the events of tonight, you can expect the Lesnar will be coming for Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman.

After entering at 23, Lesnar eliminated each of those men during his time in the match. In fact, they were the only wrestlers he sent over the top rope in the Royal Rumble match.

That in and of itself wouldn't be enough to start a program, but when the trio returned despite not being officially in the bout any longer and got rid of Brock before he could get rid of Bray, it was clear that Paul Heyman's client will have motivation to take down the clan.

Wyatt himself would continue on, almost making the final four before being sent out by eventual winner, and new WWE World Heavyweight champ, Triple H. But The Game's Mania feud is likely with Roman Reigns (and maybe Dean Ambrose, if he isn't back working with Chris Jericho, who he eliminated after their own partnership against the Wyatts ended badly), so the Eater of Worlds will be free to work with Brock, and trade promos with Heyman.

Do you like that plan, Cagesiders?
