Former NXT champion Sami Zayn was a surprise entrant in tonight's Royal Rumble match in Orlando. Entering at #20, Zayn quickly squared off with his old friend/nemesis Kevin Owens.
Well, that's an appropriate reaction from @FightOwensFight! @iLikeSamiZayn is in the #RoyalRumble Match! pic.twitter.com/jHDp3waPHK

He then dumped KO, continuing a cross-promotional feud that's been raging for years.
It's technically not Zayn's debut on the main roster. He lost a United States champion open challenge to John Cena last year - the match where he injured his shoulder and ended up on the shelf for the bulk of 2015. He returned to NXT just last month, and has now re-appeared in WWE at the January pay-per-view (PPV).
Will the Likeable One remain on the main roster? Pull double duty like Owens did last Summer?
Stay tuned.
