Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Kane was reportedly set to return on Raw this week, but the flip-flop decision to bring Sting in pushed him to next week.
  • Tough Enough contestant Amanda Saccomanno was backstage at Raw in Baltimore last night, fueling speculation that the company is interested in signing the fitness model who finished second on the show.
  • Early word on the Divas title story is to expect some sort of non-finish on Raw next week leading to the match being completed at Night of Champions - meaning Nikki Bella likely breaks AJ's record whether or not she's champ in two weeks.
  • Despite the Wrestling Observer reports on NXT's Women's title plans, Emma is working with Bayley on the house shows in Texas scheduled for the next few weeks, so she could still be in the mix for the TakeOver in early October.
  • Speculation as to who will partner with Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose at the next pay-per-view (PPV) has focused on Erick Rowan returning earlier than initially thought from his torn biceps or possibly Baron Corbin being called up from NXT. The latter was based on an image of WWE's website with him on the team that made the rounds over the weekend, but most believe it was a fan-created graphic.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
