Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • There are reports floating around from last night's house show that John Cena may have suffered an injury in his match with Kevin Owens. It's always possible it was just an angle for the match but the "X" sign was apparently used.
  • Plans change constantly in WWE but it looks like Seth Rollins will lose the US title to John Cena at Night of Champions but retain the WWE world heavyweight championship in his match with Sting.
  • It's likely Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose will be finding a tag partner for a six man against The Wyatt Family at Night of Champions. No word on who that partner may be.
  • According to PW Insider, WWE may be interested in bringing Tough Enough finalist Amanda in to the Performance Center.
  • There continue to be rumors floating around that Athena has or is close to signing with WWE.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
