AAA Triplemanía XXIII results, live open thread tonight (August 9, 2015)

Here's a place to check results and comment along with AAA's Triplemanía XXIII pay-per-view (PPV) - happening tonight, Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Mexico City.

Tonight's event, the largest on the calendar for one of Mexico - and the world's - largest pro wrestling promotions, will be available in the United States and Canada with English-language commentary by Matt Striker and Hugo Savinovich. Triplemanía XXIII features co-main events with luchadores with whom WWE and North American fans should be very familiar. In what AAA is billing as a dream match, Rey Mysterio faces Myzteziz (the original Sin Cara). And the promotion's Mega Champion, Alberto El Patron, was WWE champ when his surname was Del Rio. He'll face Lucha Underground's Brian Cage in a hair vs. hair match!

Pentagon Jr, Averno & Joe Lider attack after the finish, and the Dream Teamers reunite to ward off a staple gun attack, but then Myzteziz turns on Rey and the fans to go full rudo

Myzteziz beats down Rey and challenges him to a mask vs. mask match; Konnan enters the ring and...

...we're told this lead to Myzteziz joining La Sociedad and challenging Mysterio to a mask vs. mask match for the next major show in October.
