Rich Swann and Biff Busick have signed with WWE, according to report

WWE has just locked up two very different indie wrestling stars.

On Monday morning, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that both Rich Swann and Biff Busick have signed with WWE, pending physicals. Both Swann and Busick were participants in this past weekend's Battle of Los Angeles tournament, wrestling for PWG over three days in Reseda, Calif.

The two wrestlers couldn't really be more different. Swann is one of the premier high-fliers on the indies and Busick is part of the "throwback" grappling and striking movement that includes contemporaries Drew Gulak and Timothy Thatcher, among others.

Rich Swann (his real name) is 24 years old and began wrestling in 2008. The Baltimore native has competed for CZW, EVOLVE, Dragon Gate, PWG and CHIKARA and has held titles in Dragon Gate, EVOLVE and Full Impact Pro.

Busick (real name Christopher Girard) is 29 years old and was born in Boston. He made his professional debut in 2007 and has had his most high-profile matches in EVOLVE, Beyond Wrestling and CZW. He is a former one-time CZW World Heavyweight Champion and made it to the finals of CZW's Best of the Best XIII tournament in 2014, where he lost to Drake Younger, who is also signed to WWE as NXT referee Drake Wuertz.
