Rumor Roundup (Aug. 31, 2015): Raw plans, Seth Rollins statue, Kane return, Night of Champions, more!

New, comments

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • WWE announcing Sting for the open of Raw tonight, the Divas Beat-the-Clock Challenge, and Rusev vs. Dolph Ziggler was apparently a response to low ratings. Expect more weekend announcements advertising the next Monday's Raw in the future.
  • It's possible we'll see the finished statue of Rollins they started to unveil last week on tonight's show.
  • Kane is expected back on television anytime, possibly as soon as tonight, though it's unclear what role he will play.
  • The Night of Champions card should be all but totally filled out by the end of Raw tonight.
  • A WWE title with Sheamus themed side plates made the rounds on social media but it's a fake. Sheamus isn't expected to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase anytime soon.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
