It's back to The Future as Seth Rollins architects his first S3 win of the season

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows -  last Sunday's New Japan G1 Climax Final, the August 17 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Wednesday's WWE NXT, TNA Impact and ROH TV, WWE SmackDown on August 20, Saturday's NXT TakeOver: Brookyn, and whatever other internet streaming wrestling that aired from August 16 - August 22.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Been so long since he won a week...

...the WWE champ kind of forgot how to dress for the occasion.

  • Give Rollins a title defense and throw him in a ROH dream match from 2009, and you'll vote for him.
  • Being in said dream match, and a feud with each other, and part of a Triple Threat to see who would get to challenge Seth for the strap, earned a surging Swiss Superman second, and helped KO into the top ten for the first time in a while, and the second two things earned The Viper a spot, too.
  • Caught one instance of vote stuffing for double-J, so its possible there was trolling involved, but we'll assume for one week that slap nuts marks got excited. The man he tied for third with definitely earned his spot. His flag's so great it also helped Hot Summer to half a point.
  • Evolve's champ fought off a brilliant challenger in a game of wrestling chess, and both earned a spot in The Standings.
  • Getting to her dream match earned Bayles a hug from voters, and smarks may have been voting for Senor Cero Miedo on a Lucha Underground hangover more than the Triplemania trios match he was eligible for, but no es nada.
