Rumor Roundup (Aug. 17, 2015): Raw tonight, The Rock SummerSlam update, Chyna-Triple H incident, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • It looks like whatever big angle WWE has planned for Brock Lesnar and Undertaker on Raw tonight will close the show. There will be a heavy emphasis on John Cena's return.
  • Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he had been hearing some talk of The Rock possibly coming to SummerSlam over the past couple weeks. At the very least it's been discussed but it's not clear if he's going to be there for sure or not. If he does, Meltzer speculates that it could be to set up a match with Triple H at WrestleMania next year.
  • Elsewhere, Meltzer had more on the situation with Chyna at Roddy Piper's funeral and her talk with Triple H. Apparently Sean Waltman's original tweets on the matter are closer to what happened in that security nearly intervened. Triple H apparently didn't want anything getting out on this because it was an uncomfortable moment he doesn't want to have to speak on.
  • While ESPN will be covering SummerSlam, it's not expected to be anything significant or on the level of how they cover major sporting events.
  • Nikki Bella hinted yesterday that she's been dealing with a back injury. There have been previous rumors she's fought through shoulder issues in recent months.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
