Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

• According to PW Insider, Steve Austin will be in New York City for SummerSlam but he is not currently scheduled for the event itself.

• Regarding Kevin Owens and Sasha Banks appearing at NXT tapings for episodes post Takeover: Brooklyn with the men and women's titles, the speculation is that it was done to protect the finishes of the matches. That said, the Observer has noted that there aren't many instances of WWE doing something like this and it being a swerve.

• Apparently WWE is making changes to the Divas Search show that will air on the WWE Network later this year. This is being done due to it being too similar to Tough Enough and that show doing so poorly, according to the Observer.

• Speaking of Tough Enough, it looks like Josh may end up signed with WWE after the show and ZZ is no longer public enemy number one.

• According to the Observer, Jeff Jarrett is once again in talks with New Japan about promoting pay-per-views, likely the Tokyo Dome show.
