Chyna offers her side of the story regarding meeting with Triple H at Roddy Piper's funeral (video)

Joanie "Chyna" Lauer has posted the YouTube video you see above, offering her side of the already infamous meeting between she and Triple H at Roddy Piper's funeral earlier this week.

In it, a woman who appears visibly shaken by Sean Waltman's version of events offers her side, which more closely aligns with the version Dave Meltzer has offered:

It was brought to my attention yesterday on Twitter by someone who was not there that an accusation that I crashed Roddy Piper's funeral, that I bum rushed Hunter, security almost escorted me out.

It saddens me that I have to respond to any of this anyway, but I feel that I have no choice. So, for those of you who weren't there...this is what happened:

I don't have to justify my relationship with Roddy to anybody. He's been a dear friend for over a decade and his family, and secondly, I didn't even know Hunter was going to be there. He was there, I saw him, at the end, everybody was paying their respects to each other, I was in front of Hunter, so I very calmly took the opportunity to wrap my arms around him and whisper in his ear how deeply sorry I was for anything I've said under emotional distress with everything I've gone through...I know it's understandable, but I realize it's not justifiable. And I wanted to tell him that, for me.

There was no altercation, no security, it was tender moment, between two people who once cared about each other, and grieving over a lost friend. That's it.

As far as Roddy goes, may he rest in peace, and it was an honor to be there.

I've been concerned by Chyna's outreach to the wrestling world in the past, but this is not attention she sought in any way. A funeral is an appropriate place to honor those we've lost by mending fences with those that are still here, and if she tried to do more than that, we probably would have heard about it from more than just X-Pac.

Here's hoping this is the end of this story, so everyone can move forward with their lives as they are now, and we can all remember Piper without extraneous drama.
