Rumor Roundup (July 7, 2015): Steve Austin WWE deal, Dolph Ziggler injury, Roddy Piper podcast, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Stone Cold Steve Austin's involvement in the WWE 2K16 video game is unlikely to lead to another match but he's apparently going to be making a few more appearance for the company in the near future. He's also expected to work WrestleMania 32.
  • Dolph Ziggler's injury from Raw last night is storyline and he's not expected to miss any time.
  • According to the Observer, the reason Roddy Piper left Podcast One is because he asked out of his contract and "any other story is fantasy."
  • The Observer also notes that Shinsuke Nakamura and Kazuchika Okada did not receive WWE tryouts recently.
  • According to PW Insider, the idea that TNA pitched to Ring of Honor was that a ROH wrestler would attack a TNA star then lose to said star at a TNA event. That's why it never came to pass.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
