Welcome back to the Rumor Look Back, looking to see how rumors from six months ago ended up playing out. Let's get right to it.
Apparently there’s at least some concern within the WWE that the Philadelphia crowd won’t react positively to Roman winning the Rumble.
HA! That’s an understatement. That whole thing did not go well, but luckily, I think he’s recovered nicely from all of that and is doing some of his best work now.
The reason that Wyatt has been going over Ambrose is to keep him strong so he can face Undertaker at WrestleMania.
While I suppose I can never truly confirm that that’s the reason why they had him go over Ambrose, he did face Undertaker at WrestleMania so I will give this a yay nod here. (1/1)
After being arrest for having a fight with his son, Kevin Nash was pulled from on the Royal Rumble Raw go home show.
Even though he was suspended (so rumor was correct), he was added back on after things cleared up with the situation and the nWo reunion did take place. (1/1)
WWE may have shuffled the card for WrestleMania 31 and certain matches, such as Sting and Triple H, may be changed. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar still appears to be the plan.
Sting and Triple H did go forward, as did Roman and Brock. (1/2)
WWE is planning a big angle for next week’s Raw to help work to the Royal Rumble.
This rumor is holding over from last week. That was the episode that the Authority fired Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Erick Rowan. I graded it correctly then and will again, though the rest of this "angle" was poor so I feel dirty doing so. (1/1)
Apparently the "Mighty Mouse" idea for Adrian Neville won’t involve a costume but a small and strong persona instead. Also he may not be called up soon and instead be part of a Zayn vs. Owens vs. Neville feud.
This "Mighty Mouse" feel is pretty accurate regarding Neville. Neville was called up only a few months later and never involved in the Owens/Zayn feud in any real capacity. (1/2)
Curtis Axel is expected to spend a lot of time in NXT and have a big role down there.
Wow, I had forgotten he was on NXT. (0/1)
If Undertaker cannot wrestle at WrestleMania, he will be likely inducted into the Hall of Fame instead.
Looks like we’ll never know since he wrestled last year and possibly this year too.
It is believed that Kurt Angle’s TNA deal is for limited dates and after it he’ll go to WWE on a legends deal and HOF induction.
All TNA deals are for limited dates because they have like 5 nights of wrestling every 2 months. We don’t know what will happen with Angle when the deal is done.
Lesnar and Reigns may no longer be set in stone and but Reigns is planned to win the title at the show either way.
The match did happen and Reigns did not win the title. (0/2)
Because TNA announced Lockdown as a Destination America show and not a Pay Per View, there’s speculation that TNA is out of the PPV business in general.
They had Slammiversary last week and they still have their One Night Only shows, so they are technically still in the PPV business for now. (0/1)
There’s rumor that the "Big angle" for next week is Sting debuting on Raw.
That wouldn’t happen until the Raw before the Royal Rumble. (0/1)
When Sheamus returns to TV, there’s talk that he’ll be heel.
He was. And he also looked stupid. (1/1)
There was rumor that Naomi would turn heel on her husband during this story with the Miz but that looks to have been dropped.
That was dropped but she did turn heel a bit after WrestleMania. (1/1)
It’s possible they go back to Sheamus feuding with Bryan when Sheamus returns, starting with Sheamus eliminating Bryan from the Rumble.
That did not happen. (0/1)
There had been talks about Sting being a surprise in the Rumble but that doesn’t appear to being the plans.
That did not happen either. (1/1)
Del Rio will surely compete in MMA in 2015, but not in the UFC.
I’m going to put this in the outstanding rumors, but I expect this to be incorrect.
