Rumor Roundup (July 16, 2015): Undertaker return, Battleground plans, Dean Ambrose, more!

New, comments

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Regarding Undertaker returning at Battleground this weekend, the word going around is that it may have to do with WWE wanting a better subscriber number for the Network and it could be leading to a match at SummerSlam.
  • Ryback is off the card at Battleground but The Miz vs. Big Show is expected to go on as planned, likely as a number one contender match to the Intercontinental title. They may add a third participant.
  • Dean Ambrose will play a role at Battleground, though it's unclear exactly what he'll be doing.
  • It looks like Lana may be off WWE television while Dolph Ziggler is gone to film a movie.
  • There is once again speculation floating around, notably from Mark Madden, that there is something going on between WWE and ESPN.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
