Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- The Observer notes that the talk of Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar on Stone Cold's podcast with Paul Heyman on the WWE Network was not a shoot and they may be setting up for a match between the two at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas.
- Paul Heyman will return to WWE television on a regular basis just after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, according to PW Insider.
- Samoa Joe's deal with WWE will not immediately result in his moving up to the main roster, PW Insider notes. Instead, he will be "one of the focal points of NXT."
- Apparently TNA approached AJ Styles about inducting him into its Hall of Fame this year and he turned them down.
- It is believed Austin Aries contract with TNA comes up right at the end of June and he's likely gone once that time comes.
