Rumor Roundup (May 7, 2015): Ronda Rousey WWE angle, Sami Zayn update, Jim Ross, more!

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • While Dana White has said Ronda Rousey won't be doing a match at WrestleMania 32, the Observer notes that WWE is going ahead with plans to run an angle with her in October that would presumably build to a match with Stephanie McMahon in Dallas.
  • According to the Observer, there was talk at SmackDown this week that Sami Zayn's shoulder injury could be serious and keep him out of action for a number of months. Nothing will be known for sure until results from his MRI come in.
  • Sticking with Sami, his match with John Cena was not meant as a full time main roster call up but rather promotion for his title match with Kevin Owens at Takeover: Unstoppable.
  • Global Force Wrestling is apparently still in talks with Jim Ross to pair him with Chael Sonnen as the broadcast team for its shows.
  • The Young Bucks are a hot commodity, as TNA, Ring of Honor, and Lucha Underground are all apparently going after them in a big way.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
