WWE Elimination Chamber 2015 results: Ryback wins Intercontinental championship

So this was bad, but it happened.

In the second Elimination Chamber match of the evening, the vacated Intercontinental title was the prize at tonight's WWE Network live special from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Rusev was originally scheduled for the match but a foot injury knocked him out. He was replaced by Rusev.

Here was the order of entry:

  1. King Barrett
  2. Dolph Ziggler
  3. R-Truth
  4. Mark Henry
  5. Ryback
  6. Sheamus

And the order of exit (as well as who they were eliminated by):

  1. King Barrett (R-Truth)
  2. R-Truth (Ryback)
  3. Mark Henry (Sheamus)
  4. Dolph Ziggler (Sheamus)
  5. Sheamus (Ryback)

Barrett was, perhaps unsurprisingly, the first man out, though Truth pinning him was a bit of a shock. Truth getting taken out by THE BIG GUY shortly after was even less of a shock. Sheamus rigged his pod so he was trapped in it for a while after he was supposed to come in, waiting until the opportune moment to get in while everyone was laid out and tired. So Brogue Kicked and pinned Henry, then went to work on Ziggler and Ryback. Dolph made a brief comeback and got a near fall but he fell, leaving only Sheamus and Ryback.

They worked some big spots, with THE BIG GUY taking some serious hits before making a comeback, hitting Shellshock, and ... scoring the pin?

Yes, Ryback won to become Intercontinental champion.

There you go.
