Rumor Roundup (May 16, 2015): Seth Rollins title run, Daniel Bryan update, Samoa Joe WWE deal, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The plan, as it stands now, is still for Seth Rollins to be WWE world heavyweight champion going into SummerSlam. That said, sagging ratings during his time as champ have not helped his perception as a top star.
  • While PW Insider initially reported that Daniel Bryan was scheduled for Payback and TV tapings next weekend, it looks now like he has been removed from all events and he won't return until he's healthy or he needs to promote his upcoming book.
  • Big Show is apparently set to return to TV starting next week.
  • There's a rumor floating around wreddit that Samoa Joe has signed a two-year deal with WWE and he will make an appearance at the NXT Takeover: Unstoppable event.
  • Speaking of NXT, morale within the promotion is incredibly high and WWE executives are not only really happy with the Philadelphia house show run but are really starting to get behind the idea of it becoming a big brand to compete with WWE.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
