Ryback vs. Bray Wyatt

Two guys who were Nexus members in another life have been set against each other in a post-WrestleMania clash that sees it's first official match this weekend in Baltimore.

The Road to Payback

I honestly had no idea what to write about this match-up, which has been building for a while but only officially added to the card at the 'go home' Smackdown tapings.

Luckily, I found a couple of guys that did want to speak on the bout:

Some say that the power of the throne...those that dictate the actions of we who toil in this canvas and rope construct for your enjoyment...they say that our masters in that Titanic Tower do not understand Bray Wyatt!

To them I say, "what's to understand, brother?" Or rather, are you afraid that you all might actually grasp exactly I'm laying down for you? Because with each melodious sermon I bring to you, we're all one step closer to acknowledging how meaningless our pursuit of gold and acclaim has been lo these many years!

YOU say that the Abbadon has been vanquished by...John Cena. Has been mastered by The Dead Man. I say, are any of us changed by the violent dance we performed?

Perhaps what it is that you're afraid of is that none of this matters? You've dedicated your life to consuming entertainments which only tickle a deluded king...a Connecticut Yankee far from the true King's court. Am I that monarch you seek? Hahahahaha...naw, man. Terror has no heirarchy.

As the new, and TRUE, face of fear, I've come to show you all that what's really scary is the pointlessness of it all. So, I'll dance with another of their false idols...one that has suffered from their whims and vagaries as much if not more than I. And when it's over, you'll see that nothing has changed.

And that is what you should be truly fearful of.

WAKE UP, STUPID! THE BIG GUY HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A WRESTLER. SO IF DEALING WITH ANOTHER BIG TALKER IS WHAT HE HAS TO DO TO KEEP WRESTLING...FEED. ME. MORE.

What's at Stake?

Listen to Bray, man. Everything...and not much.

Neither guy can really afford a loss if they're going to be used as a main event threat any time soon, but then, there's no indication that there are plans to use either guy as a main event threat any time soon.

A loss, especially if it includes the supernatural intervention and/or the Family reunion that many are hoping for on the Wyatt side of things, probably doesn't hurt to much either. The mid-card giveth, and the mid-card taketh away.

Hopefully, we get an entertaining match out of it. Neither man is known as a ringmaster, so there's a chance this gets ugly if given too much time.

We'll find out Sunday!
