While the lack of Sami Zayn & Hideo Itami will do nothing to dispel injury reports on those two men, it sounds like WWE NXT's first night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 14, 2015 was a rousing success. And one that furthered the brand's reputation as leading the women's wrestling equality movement.

NXT's main event on their first show in one of the biggest wrestling cities in the world was a Women's title match.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Triple H made his customary appearance, touting NXT like a proud papa.

And, as you can see in those pictures, DEMONFINN fans anxiously awaiting a new body paint will have to wait until tonight's show. That's when General Manager William Regal has booked Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens for the NXT title as the main event.

They may have decided not to run the former ECW Arena, but they weren't going to let a trip to Philly go by without channeling some of that old extreme magic. Mick Foley made a surprise appearance to hype the crowd and put over the product, and after defeating Rhyno, the recently heel turned Baron Corbin called out Foley and Joey Styles to tell them to bring more ECW originals on Friday for him to beat.
