El Rey Network's Lucha Underground delivered another signature match last week as its legend continues to grow. If they could just figure out the "how can I watch?!?!" problem that so many fans have, they might really be on to something (check out the end of this post for a list of ways you can currently catch-up with LU).
Alberto El Patron and Johnny Mundo blew the roof of The Temple...and that match was just for the right to fight for the title! Tonight, El Patron moves on to face to Hernandez in a #1 contender's match for Prince Puma's championship. And someone lucha and long-time indy fans have been waiting to see show up on LU finally does, when Jack Evans faces Aero Star.
Plus - what is the mysterious medallion up for grabs when SEVEN of the hottest wrestlers in Dario Cueto's employ duke it out?
Maybe it has something to do with last week's shocking return of Catrina and Mil Muertes? By the looks of things, the man of a thousand deaths and his mistress aren't done with Fenix...
Looking ahead, our exclusive clip this week shows that dastardly Dario isn't done with the underdog trios champs, and he's not letting Ivelisse being in a foot cast stop him from feeding the Huntress, Son of Havoc & Angelico to The Crew one more time, in a LADDER MATCH!
Poor Team Havoc...I think El Jefe is just taking out his frustrations on them for the way Davari had the nerve to big-time him in his own office.
Catch the Lucha fever as the show heads into the final few months of its first season. If you get El Rey, or subscribe to Sling TV, you can start tonight at 8PM Eastern. Failing that, and if you either speak Spanish or don't mind turning on closed captioning, check to see if you have UniMás so you can watch Saturday at 4PM.
Team LU also releases at least one full match and comprehensive, well put together "Previously on" highlight package once a week on El Rey's YouTube channel and releases a ton of other goodies on their Twitterand Instagram feeds. Seriously, you can follow the show (legally) online via their social media channels. It's pretty amazing.
So while we hope for either intervención divina o de un pacto con el diablo to get season one on NetFlix or another streaming service, do the best you can with the tools at your disposal. You won't be disappointed.
