Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett set for Extreme Rules 2015

Although neither made an appearance on last night's episode of Monday Night Raw in Austin, it was announced during the show that Bad News Barrett will challenge Daniel Bryan for the Intercontinental championship at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., April 26, 2015, at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

A five-time Intercontinental Champion, Barrett's most recent reign was marked by ignominy, as a packed field of contenders took turns stealing the title and playing a game of keep-away. Though Barrett officially lost the title at WrestleMania, he was never pinned or made to submit during a championship match over the tenure of his reign.

Because all champions get an automatic rematch in WWE, Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus are going to have to battle each other while Bryan and Barrett finish up their business.
